my pc was giving problem in starting,but not the mouse and key board had stopped working ,what to do?
my pc was giving problem in starting,but not the mouse and key board had stopped working ,what to do?It has also kasparkas anti virus which was working very nice.I am tottaly stuck.Please advise soon.
There are a few things that you might want to check first.
1. When the computer starts are you allowed to press any key to enter any bootup menus? a simple test is to press ESC when you see the brand of your computer showing on the screen.
2. When the computer starts press Num Lock and check if the LED on the keyboard turns off and on.
If. any of the two above worked then they keyboards is sending signals to the PC. Meaning that if the keyboard and mouse do not respond when windows starts then it has to do with windows not loading some driver. This happens a lot with wireless keyboards and mouse.
If you have a wireless keyboard and mouse and it uses a USB receiver. Make sure all your other usb devices are working. A problem that i found when fixing an HP with wireless mouse was that the client installed some weird hacking program for the ipod that re-wrote some drivers. So all the usb's connections were loosing power when windows tried to start.
What i had to do was install a PS2 keyboard and mouse and do a system restore to a previous date before the iPod hack. Then everything when back to normal.
If that is not the case then it could be that your receiver for the wireless devices is out of sync or in the case of Bluetooth you will have to register the keyboard and mouse again.
Please give use more details of what kind of keyboard and computer model so we can be more specific.
