What are the red and black caps (normally located below the rear bumper) on prostreet and drag cars?
Is it to charge some kind of battery? If so, what is the battery for?
They are remote terminals for the battery. A lot of drag cars don't run alternators to save horsepower. They will charge the battery in between rounds. With the terminals on the outside of the car, they just hook the charger to the outside terminals. Its just makes it faster. The black and red caps just cover up the copper posts.
