Button Mame
help a little fighting game noob.?
im playing marvel vs. capcom on Mame, and wanted to learn a super move or whatever, so i looked up a move list (in this case, for megaman) and, i just dont get it, i just mash the buttons that are involved in the move, sometimes he does the move but for the most part he does other attacks.
the move is:
Down, down forward, forward+2 punches
so how do you do it? do you hold down the punch attacks while tapping the combination? HOW DO YOU DO IT!!? ugh, i feel like such a noob.
Down, down forward, and forward are meant to be executed smoothly by sliding between the buttons, so it's like a smooth quarter-circle motion, then tapping punch twice quickly right after, not at the same time. Try it with slightly different timing a few times, and when it works try to do it with exactly that timing every time. It's all about the timing, really. It will take some practice, but with patience you'll get it!
