Circuit Board
When would a circuit board need to be replaced on a furnace?
I was told by an air conditioning repair man that I needed to replace the circuit/control board on our furnace because the blower for the cooling mode was not blowing. Also, the pipes which carry the freeon were freezing up. I'm curious, what would cause a circuit board to go out?
Basically, all a circuit board is is epoxy resin and copper, plated with one or more metals. Extended exposure to differing temperatures, mechanical vibrations, etc. can cause it to fail over time.
