Head Cartridge
How does one run the head-cleaner and realignment on a Hp photosmart C5180?
I'm getting spotty printing on my HP Photosmart C5180 even though there is ink in each cartridge. (I'm only trying to print text in black.) I've looked in the menu on the printer and can't find how to clean the heads and run it through realignment. Can anyone help? Thanks.
To Realign the printer heads

Match the color and pattern of the ink cartridge to the
color and pattern on the print carriage.
A) Push the black ink cartridge in to the first slot on the
left. Close the latch.
b) Repeat with each of the color ink cartridges.
c) Make sure each latch is secure.
a) After you close the access door, a prompt appears
to load plain white paper. Make sure paper is
loaded, and then press OK to start the process.
The device initializes the ink cartridges and aligns
the printer. This takes approximately 5 minutes.
The heads are not cleanable
The printheads in the C5180 are permanent and not user removable or replaceable.
