contacts, high school, help?
i just started high scool as a freshman and i have bad vision far away, everything is blury even when im the first row away from the board, i dont like my glasses, they fall off of my face and are scratchy and they take up room, . i ordered contacts and they arrived , all i have to do is pick them up but there's no use in using them becuase i dont know how to put them in, the opto people will teach me on the 19th but i cant wait that long. my question is that if i pick them up, can i learn how to put them in by myself, she lady that was checking my eyes said that i was not squemish at all, do you think it is posssible, thanks and i know that was very long
I don't understand. What you are saying is bass ackwards (if you know what I mean).
When you went to get your exam, the doctor should have determined your contact lens Rx and then he or his optician should have fit you with a diagnostic pair of contacts. At that time, they should have trained you on how to insert and extract the contacts. Then you should have gone back in to see the doctor and he should have looked at the contacts on your eye to make sure they were fitting properly. Then they should have given you a "wearing schedure" (a little more each day) for the diagnostic contacts that you now have and told you to come back in 1 week for a contact lens recheck to make sure everything is ok. At that point, they should have ordered the contacts in and then you come in and pick them up. The diagnostics will last you two weeks. Hence the timing of the schedule.
Either you have it wrong, or they have their procedures all screwed up.
Can you teach yourself - yes. However, it is best to let them teach you so that you can be sure to learn right.
